The land of tall pines, Maine. It isn't difficult to find views like this one, because they are all up and down the 1,000 miles of coast Maine has to offer. Many of those miles are open via conservation areas, state parks, national parks and monuments and other open areas. We enjoy hiking and discovering new and beautiful vistas in all seasons. This one was during the summer, and so when I look at it I can still feel the warmth of the sun and smell the balsam scent on the wind. The tang of salt on my lips and the distant whoosh of waves come back to mind as well. Paintings are a great way to relive and revisit special places. The land of tall pines, Maine.
