The skies of Central Oregon are spectacular as sunrises and sunsets fill the world with color. And at night the stars are hard to describe. We've visited the observatory before, and been awed by the brightness of the night sky. I was lucky enough to live in Bend when it had only 19,000 people, decades ago now. So much has changed, but the skies are still brilliant, and the mountains still breathtaking in their beauty.
