Every road is a sensory adventure during color season in New England. My sister visited a few years ago and asked how people could focus on driving when surrounded by the spectacular beauty of a fall day, saturated in color. I told her it was because they still needed to get groceries and go to work and live their lives. But I understood her awe, which I feel whenever bathed in the light of an autumn day, drenched in color. Those everyday tasks are made lighter by the beauty of each day.
