I stumbled on this boat boneyard while exploring the Maine coastline. The line of "retired" boats reminded me of the monoliths at Stonehenge. Their shapes against the sky caught my attention and made me want to try to capture their dignity even as they were no longer seaworthy. They reminded me of old sailors, filled with tales if one could only hear their history. I stumbled on this boat boneyard while exploring the Maine coastline.
