Mt. Katahdin, the end of the Appalachian Trail. It rises above the surrounding landscape, visible for miles. Better yet, it is surrounded by deep wilderness, beautiful and vast. We have camped near it, and some of my family have climbed it. My goal is to hike to the top of it some day, along the Knife's Edge Trail if I can. In the meantime, I can appreciate it's beauty from afar. Mt. Katahdin, the end of the Appalachian Trail. It rises above the surrounding landscape, visible for miles.
