The urge to burrow deep into my covers when I wake on a snowy winter's morning is hard to resist. But on those mornings when I do get up, the rising sun, and the light display it puts on, more than makes up for lost sleep. Added to that, the streets are quiet and the city has not yet woken up to a full-throated roar. Beauty unfolds as the light refracts all kinds of color onto the white snow, unleashing a prism of beauty. It brings with it a sense of wonder and possibility. The new day begins.
