This is a fun piece that I did to remember my childhood of swimming in lakes and streams and the ocean during the summer. I wasn't very athletic. They never chose me first for any team. But, I could swim. My mother dragged her brood of six children to the local pool each summer until we were all proficient swimmers. That meant we could splash and play wherever we were camping. Looking back, some of those streams were pretty wild, and probably not too safe. But we all survived, and thrived, as water babies. And I still smile when I think of some of the adventures we had because of it.
