We decided to visit Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, in the heart of Colorado. It was deep, and mysterious, and stunningly beautiful. It would have been nice to linger, but we had miles to go before our next stop. Still, I'm glad we went. The canyon's deepest point is 2,700 feet, the same distance as the widest width.
