Our new home is one mile from the shore, where we love to walk and watch the sunsets. There is something about ending the day walking in the sand, letting the sound of waves wash over one, that soothes out the tensions of the moment. When it's warm enough I take off my shoes and take in the grainy texture of sand and the cool wash of water over my toes.
