Fireworks on a summer night, the erupting beauty reflected on the water below. Twinkling boat lights adding their own part to the beauty. We enjoyed our first Fourth of July fireworks celebration in Sag Harbor, near our new home. We loved the cooling air around us, the sound of waves lapping the shore, the soft sand beneath our feet, the excited chatter of children running around with their own sparklers, the leaning in of friends to share their stories and their lives. And then we listened to the music as light danced above our heads. Summer joy. Fireworks on a summer night, the erupting beauty reflected on the water below.
