My son moved to Colorado a few years ago. We miss having him nearby, but are really happy to see him living his best life, loving the chance to ski and hike in that beautiful place. I have been out to see him a few times. Once I went by myself and he took me hiking (mindful that I am decades older, live at sea level, and had to take things slowly). It was a beautiful day with stunning views. There seem to be stunning views in every direction in Colorado. One afternoon I flew over the area and saw the beautiful splashes of yellow aspens below. I prefer to be down among the trees, listening to the wind turn leaves into whispered conversations. But, looking up and seeing grand peaks in the distance, that makes my heart sing.
