This sunset, at a truck stop on a recent cross-country trip, is an example of what keeps me exploring this amazing country. Long periods of being lulled by the road are broken up by moments of astonishing beauty, or exciting adventures or very funny scenes played out along some road. A teacher once told me that there are no boring stories, just writers who didn't see the wonder in them. I would say the same for the beauty of the highways that web across America. We just need to remember to stop and see the wonder. This sunset, at a truck stop on a recent cross-country trip, is an example of what keeps me exploring this amazing country.
