Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$120 for FRAMED piece. This abstract encaustic has a spritz of antique copper distress spray on the top layer of wax, to unite the bands of copper wax underneath. The black ribbons have been incised into the background allowing them to dominate the surface. (Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
