Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$120 for FRAMED piece. I have been doing a series of abstract encaustics for many years now, which are based on the patterns found in stones and rocks I've collected. This was one of several stones I found on the coast of Maine.(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
