Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

We were told that this particular balcony, with the louvered doors, is where Coco Channel lived as a child. I have no idea if that is true or not but I loved building.This encaustic incorporates a toner transfer. (Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
