Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

Kyacking off the coast of Maine I came across this "lone tree" growing on a small rock outcropping. A rain storm was headed in our direction and we did get wet before we reached the shore but it was a delightful afternoon!(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
