Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$70 for UNFRAMED piece.
$120 for FRAMED piece. Built in the 1920's these Manhattan Townhouses, which are now co-ops, are approaching 100 years old. It's a beautiful neighborhood, which I suppose contributes to the million dollar plus price tag, for a 2 bedroom unit!This is an encaustic which incorporates a toner transfer. (Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
