Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$150 for FRAMED piece. This is a cottage garden in Vezelay, France. Many years ago my cousin and I went on a road trip through France with our mothers. This town was beyond charming! You park your car at the bottom of a rather steep hill and walk through the narrow cobblestone streets to an abby and an impressive view of the surrounding land, at the top. I would love to return there someday.This is an encaustic which incorporates a toner transfer. There is also a bit of pen & ink. (Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
