$150 for FRAMED piece. The St. Urban, built on Central Park West in the 1900's, became a landmark in the area's Historic District. Designed as an apartment house by architect Robert T. Lyons it is still an upscale apartment building to this day.This piece features the arched entries originally constructed for the arrival and exit of horse and buggies. It remains unaltered to this day.This encaustic incorporates a toner transfer.(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
