I was very lucky to have the opportunity to live in Ireland for four years. This experience gave me a lasting love of the country, which I have missed, since returning to the United States. Painting the landscape from my photographs helps! This painting is of the Irish boats called currachs, found on the Aran Islands off the coast of Galway.
