Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$130 for FRAMED piece. This piece is in reference to all the things that life throws at you. You have to navigate through it, so much of which is unknown. There are choices. Face the fears and learn, chose a space and try to hide or deny, seek out answers and accept. I used calm colors to find an overall peaceful atmosphere in the midst of strange and unknown surroundings. Sometimes as an artist I just allow the art to flow from somewhere else, without any kind of planned outcome. Like a stream of consciousness.This encaustic incorporates strands of silk.(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
