Media: Mixed media encaustic.The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$125 for FRAMED piece. In 1911 a pair of majestic lions were installed flanking the entrance of the New York Public Library on 42nd Street. During the depression the mayor named them Patience and Fortitude as the qualities he felt New Yorkers would need to get through it. They remain to this day. This is Fortitude.This is an encaustic with a toner transfer.(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
