6-5-20 study I applied one of my gelli prints onto a wood panel and then painted this charming bouquet on top. The vase I found on Pinterest... by Vivien Mildenberger- She's an illustrator that made a few charming pieces of illustrated ceramics. I thought the vase paired nicely with the lily of the valley from our garden. Love that fragrance. I like to do these small warm-up studies before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive in to my day in the studio. It's also a time to experiment- which makes these small works so enjoyable for me!
