5-11-20 study I picked a beautiful bouquet of daffodils and the two tulips that bloomed from our yard today. We have lots of daffodils and because the weather has been cool, they are lasting much longer than usual. It makes the cooler temperatures (snow!) easier to take. This bouquet is painted on a rough watercolor paper that makes for a looser paint application. I like to do these small warm-up paintings or studies before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive in to my day in the studio. This painting is matted with a backing and slipped into a protective sleeve. It’s ready to pop into a standard 8x10 frame. 5-11-20 study I picked a beautiful bouquet of daffodils and the two tulips that bloomed from our yard today.
