2-28-19 The last day of February! Today’s warm-up is a field of flowers rather than a bouquet. I love cone flowers...and so do our deer. 😬 Painted with acrylic and with some colored pencil on top, today’s warm up was worked on over a couple days. I try to limit my warm-up sessions to 30-45 minutes each morning...sometimes I’m enjoying myself so much it’s hard to stop and make the shift to my larger work! I like to do these small warm-up paintings before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive in to my day in the studio. This painting is matted with a backing and slipped into a protective sleeve. It’s ready to pop into a standard 8x10 frame. 2-28-19 The last day of February!
