10-20-21 warm-up A scene in my garden. A Henry Tanaka ceramic house is surrounded by wild flowers. The flowers are a lot happier since we took down a huge Oak tree. That is always such a hard decision- to take down a healthy tree. It had to be done if we wanted to grow anything at all. I have to say- the flowers have delighted me all summer. This painting was in a show until this weekend, so I'm tardy in posting it here. I like to do these small warm-up paintings before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive into my day in the studio. This original 7.5x5.5 is painted with acrylic on watercolor paper. It’s matted with a backing and slipped into a protective sleeve. It’s ready to pop into a standard 8x10 frame. 10-20-21 warm-up A scene in my garden.
