Nadia Murad won the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. Her story is being presented in documentaries and her book "The Last Girl". I have painted her twice before, once in oil (failed) then in a return to watercolors and really liked it and posted it but its format does not fit my series of Nobel Prize Winners. Now in oil, today al la prima. I think I have caught her essence possibly because I have been doing more reading of this young woman's life.
