I went on a recent trip to Durham, North Carolina and was struck by the beauty of this landscape stretched out in front of me soon after I entered the state. But why include the highway and the cars etc...? Well, that is part of the landscape. It is part of our remembered and shared experience. And visually speaking, it helps with the depth perspective.
