These characters are designed around scribble/swirl drawings. I swirl my pencil randomly with wide sweeping gestures and then find my character and pull him out of the lines. In other words, I use the light swirl marks to form the skeleton of my character's form and line - using my imagination and artist's eye. It just occurred to me that I could make some of these into watercolor ACEOs. I never know what kind of interesting shapes and expressions I will find in the web of lines.These whimsical characters are truly unique in concept and execution. Your painting will be inserted into a plastic sleeve and packed carefully in a standard no. 10 business envelope. It is also signed on the front and the back.Sometimes I use gouache (opaque watercolor) and/or colored pencils and pastel pencils in a limited way to enhance the painting.
