I painted this plein aire while on a boy scout trip to Deer island off the coast of Alabama....or maybe Florida...I forgot. Anyway this painting was accepted into the 2012 Tennessee Watercolor Society annual show.There was a cold breeze on that cloudy day and I hunkered down into the tall weeds in the lee of a downed tree trunk while I painted this.
