This piece started off as a very simple, small 2x3" thumbnail sketch in black, white and gray, no details. This is an active dialog piece, a give-and-take conversation with the developing image. That's how the smaller shapes and details developed. I was an active participant, but the feeling I had while working, was that the image was leading me, directing its own development. What you see is a record of that conversation.
