Yosemite is my favorite place on this earth. This is Nevada Falls on the Merced River which winds through Yosemite. I climbed up the left side of the falls and discovered the hard way that all the rocks were slick with moss from the mist of the falls. While photographing the falls I slipped and caught one of the branches of the tree on the left. So naturally I needed to include that tree in my painting.
