One summer I went to the Southwest seeking inspiration for my artwork. I stayed for 3 weeks outside Taos in the mountains. I often went into Taos for a meal and was sitting at this outdoor cafe when I noticed the striking red reflections on the silverware. The red umbrella made the silverware glow like a fire. I had to capture that in paint so I took out my gouache paints and had some fun. It is p ainted on watercolor paper and is matted to 9" x 11" (white).
