As an artist, I love the challenge of using cool and warm colors, contrasting colors, or complements together in my artwork. The bromeliad plant offers the perfect challenge in this respect. The opposite colors enhance each other and create its own energy. In this painting I also like the challenge of creating the feeling of green moss on the ceramic pot. I like the tropical feeling you get from the bromeliad and the turquoise skies. I painted this 6" x 6" on gessoboard which is 1/8" thick. It comes unframed but can easily be framed. This oil painting must dry for 30 days so it will be available to ship November 1, 2018.
