One day we took a boat out to Cayo Costa State Park in Florida which is on an island which is only accessible by water. There is a nice beach there and as we walked from the dropoff point to the beach, I noticed these wonderful yellow cactus in bloom. I could not resist taking some photos of these beauties. Hence, the title "Cayo Costa Beach Cactus". Back at the studio I painted these in pastel on sanded Uart paper. The original size is 9" x 12". It has already been framed and is ready to hang. The frame is a bluish gray which complements the blues in the painting. The outer dimensions are 14.5" x 18.5". The matted dimension of the artwork is 8.5" x 11.5". There is a hanger on the back and glass is used to frame it (which is necessary for all pastels). If you are interested in the pastel without the framing, please contact me personally.
