Matlacha is a very colorful place that used to be a fishing village in southwest Florida. Now it is full of shops, restaurants and beautiful spots on the water on the way over to Pine Island on the Gulf Coast. Elena's is one of those cute little colorful shops in Matlacha. I have a winter studio in Pine Island so I frequently go to Matlacha. This oil painting is 9" x 12" on gessoboard.
