This painting was a personal challenge, inspired by light. Light can be warm or cool of course. The model was posed in front of an open window. Cool light in front and warm behind.
What emerged was a figure between two worlds, a young man on the cusp of adulthood, looking forward to the future. I sometimes paint athletes.
