Abbey Senanque rests at the foot of a gorge near the perched town of Gordes in the Luberon, Provence. The working monastery harvest their local crops of lavender. It's a spectacular site in June when the lavender is at its height. This was painted as a demo for the guests at the chateau retreat for artists.
