This lavender farm is in the Applegate in Oregon and is run by a lovely British couple. The man told me he only has to water the lavender every 2 weeks. After painting I had a limoncello lavender gelato from their shop. I had tinted the canvas med-dark gray, which was fun to work on. It seems to darken the painting overall, which I kind of like.
