Another small gouache from Washington, near La Conner. We were travelling, so I brought gouche for ease of cleanup and the small pack I could bring. Loved the big, simple land masses and the delicate colors of the water. Gorgeous area. Now am reading Into Great Silence by Eva Saulitis from 2013 about the orcas that she researched starting in the '80s. We saw harbor seals and a porpoise but no orcas.
