Ah, Mr. Rochester! I did not paint an actual portrait of an actor from a "Jane Eyre" dramatization. This is just who this man looks like to me. I was using an old movie still as inspiration (not "Jane Eyre" movie) and I changed the face. The new face looks to me like...Mr. Rochester! So here he is! My version of Jane Eyre's handsome Mr. Rochester. I left the brushstrokes loose and fluid, which I don't always do, but it was fun this time. I'd like to keep loose in future paintings. A limited palette was used, of White, Venitian Red, Ultramarine Blue, and Yellow Ochre. At the very end, I put a added a few brushstrokes that included a bit of Alizarin Crimson Permanent. But for the most part, this is a limited palette painting. You may see a slightly regular 'texture' in the photos, that is not a canvas texture, nor is it part of the brushstrokes. I don't notice it too much. However, if you do notice it, please be assured that it is not on the actual painting. It's just in the photos. PAINTING WILL BE READY TO SHIP IN THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER. I am using a new, improved varnishing system and need to wait a while to varnish. Ah, Mr. Rochester!
