While many nearby orchards have been chopped down, these sturdy old cherry trees are still hanging in there. I love their strong, sculptural forms molded by years of growth, weathering, decay and renewal. Acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord panel, 12" x 16" in a maple floater frame. This painting will be part of "The Wonders of Plein Air" exhibit, May 3 - June 25, 2025 at the aRt Cottage in Concord, California.
