This 1850's era barn was probably built with timber from the surrounding woods and still stands strong and sheltering, blending gently with the hillside. I sensed its roots reaching deep into the earth. Painted with friends at beautiful Forest Home Farms Historic Park in San Ramon, California. Plein air study, acrylic on gessoed panel 12" x 12", unframed.
