There's no time to drive to the beach during the school week, but I really needed to feel a sunny breeze so I parked my New Wave U.GO Anywhere pochade box on the corner of my desk and spent my lunch  and some time after school painting Galveston's East Beach. After starting with a 1/2" stiff bristle brush to quickly lay in the scene, I used an Oakblade palette knife to layer color and thick textures on top. 

"East Beach st Dawn" is an 8" x 8" oil painting on a Centurion OP DLX oil primed linen panel. It'll arrive well packed and ready to frame.
