Media: Oil painting on 1 1/2" deep gallery wrapped canvas
Size: 8x8 in
I often come in the morning after a painting session to find little piles of color left on my palette. I often enjoy seeing what I can make of these leftover jewels to start my day. This painting was started back in 2018. I was thinking of the the light flickering on the choppy waves and clouds at the end of a stormy day over the Gulf of Mexico. I'd quickly brushed this little canvas in from memory back then, but after living with it a while I re-worked it a little this morning. I often find new inspiration in something old.
