Media: Oil on cradled wood panel
Size: 8x8 in
Galveston Island State Park is one of my favorite spots to watch the sunrise over the Gulf. Sometimes the light is so intense the small clumps of sea weed and salt grass are silhouetted against an almost blinding bombardment of yellow, orange and reddish hues. The park has had some recent renovations and makes a great day trip or campout so hit the road and see for yourself. “Bright Morning, Galveston Island State Park” is an 8" x 8" oil painting on a 1 1/2" deep cradled wood panel. The sides are painted neutral gray and it's wired and ready to hang. *** I’m a SETX Texas based artist finding inspiration in the everyday beauty of the world. I’ve been a public-school teacher for 20+ years. I’m also a musician, a husband, a father, and an animal lover. I’ve been fortunate over the years to show my paintings at the LMFA Longview Museum of Fine Art, the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, the Museum of East Texas, the Dishman Art Museum, the Museum of the Gulf Coast, and the Mesquite Arts Center as well as in galleries throughout the country. My paintings have appeared in American Art Collector, Art Reveal Magazine, the Austin Chronicle, the Dallas Observer, Empty Easel, Professional Artist Magazine, VIP, Voyage, and more. I’m honored to have paintings in homes and collections in thirty-two states in the U.S. and overseas in Singapore and hope to one day have paintings in all Fifty Nifty United States and around the world.
