I had so much fun painting this. I limited the palette to phthalo turquoise, lemon yellow, cad yellow, permanent rose, burnt umber, and titanium white.I love the composition and the light through the trees. It’s also reminiscent of my painting from 2 years ago, ‘Morning Light, st John’s Playing Fields’, which was selected by Grayson Perry for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2022, and which really kick started this resurgence of my art career.
