I'm enjoying examining the effect of artificial light at night time at the moment. It really pushes you to seek the colours within the blacks, greys, oranges and browns. Traffic lights are a real treat too as they become an intense pop of colour. Silver cars are great to paint as, like shiny objects in still life, they reflect all the intense colours around them and create a contrast.
