This portrait of Noel Fielding was begun during another amazing session watching Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year Kimberly Klauss paint via livestream the UK comedian/writer/artist/actor. What a delight to discover this interesting, self-reflective person and listen to him as he opened a little window into his creative process. There were many wonderful expressions by Noel as he generously shared a bit of himself, but the one that fired up my artistic juices was when he looked down occasionally and smiled as if he were amused by his own self. Wise and lovely. The background is a nod to Noel’s own paintings of faces representing the audience that he performs and responds to, a sea of faces. “I have never thought of myself as an actor, thought I play about 500 different characters in the show. Actors play someone else. I play myself.” Noel Fielding This portrait of Noel Fielding was begun during another amazing session watching Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year Kimberly Klauss paint via livestream the UK comedian/writer/artist/actor.
