This began with lovely, cheerful daisies from the garden, some of the first flowers to bloom. I cannot explain it, but I also wanted to place them somewhere that embodied this time of year, the beautiful blossoming fields everywhere. There's lavender here in Spain, of course, but it's the kilometers of calming purple scent in France, in Provence, that truly stirs the imagination. And the yellow, hmmm, sunflowers bien sûr.
